The YarnTail Story

After years of writing, recording, and releasing my own music, I noticed something: music supervisors, catalog curators, and filmmakers are always searching for heartfelt, authentic songs to elevate a scene. But the artists making that kind of music — the kind that hits you in the chest — often fly under the radar. It’s a lose-lose we could turn into a win-win.

YarnTail Music Club was born out of the open mic scene in Greater Los Angeles. Places like Kulak’s Woodshed in North Hollywood, Jeweled Universe in South Pasadena, and Unurban Café in Santa Monica are full of raw talent. Artists show up with songs that move you — but many get stuck, unable to push their music further because of technical, financial, or marketing hurdles.

Building a career in music takes more time and energy than most artists can spare. YarnTail was created to change that — to help passionate, independent musicians find a path forward, and to help storytellers find the kind of music that sticks with people.
